Expressive arts
Nothing About Us Without Us Creative Arts Therapies provides a wide range of therapeutic modalities within the arts. Each of these has it's own unique benefits, and each client may find different incite from each. Weather you like to crochet, read, talk about spiritual and philosophical concepts, or you just want to take some random art supplies and CREATE! Expressive arts can be a wonderful way to process your thoughts and feelings.
Currently we are excited to offer a monthly art therapy group! You do not need to be talented to make art, and we explore a variety of crafts, fine arts, and other art modalities in session. Please see our group therapy page for more information.
Role playing games
Ever wanted to play Dungeons and Dragons in therapy? Now you can!
Therapeutic role playing games involves specific therapeutic goals included in roleplaying games such as Dungeons and Dragons, LARP, Vampire the Masquerade, and many other gaming systems. Similar in many ways to drama therapy, our counselors have taken specialized training to incorporate the fun of role playing games into the therapeutic process by crafting tailored stories and campaigns, and focusing on the embodiment aspect of taking on a role.
If you've always found playing pretend fun, fascinating, or enticing, check out what therapeutic role playing is like!
